Description

2. General Functions

The Finance Operations Manager (Accounts Payable) will direct and oversee the daily management of the accounts payable staff and the entire procure-to-pay (P2P) process. The Manager is responsible to provide high quality of engagement with the internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, efficiency and effectiveness at all stage of the P2P process, including the processing of purchase requisition, vendor invoices and payment of invoices, and communication with buyers. The Manager is expected to constantly review and ensure company policies and procedures are appropriate, effective, efficient and being adhered to pertaining to accounts payable.

2.1. Creditors Ageing and payment

i. Responsible for timely and accurate payment of vendor invoice

ii. Prepare the Monthly Reporting of creditors aging for submission to the CFO by 2nd week of each month.

iii. Manages the Accounts Payable team performance to achieve vendor payment

below 60 days in aging bucket.

iv. Conducts timely review and approval of Creditors Reconciliation following the AP SOP guideline

3 Process and System

i. Lead the team to continuously seek out improvement and establish appropriate controls over accounts payable policy, procedures and processes.

ii. To ensure AP functions are in compliance with statutory reporting requirements (audit/tax). To engage with the GL Reporting team as well as Group Tax to ascertain appropriate accounting and/or tax recording and treatment.

iii. To ensure adherence to indirect tax matters, including compliance to Withholding Tax and Service Tax Acts

iv. Undertake any other duties that may be assigned by the CFO from time to time.

4 People

i. Follow up with issues raised and work with team for solutions within the agreed timeline with the related parties.

ii. Provide strong customer service to internal stakeholders

i. Knowledge of and skills in using computer software applications to analyze, develop and report on the financial operation status of the company

ii. Ability to take a holistic approach in reviewing problem statements, and yet able to drill down to the details to identify root-cause of problems, and thereafter to propose appropriate solutions

iii. Ability to plan and organize workload to comply with reporting and other deadlines

iv. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment

v. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders
