About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Retail Finance team at head office in Leicestershire.

Through accurate and timely information you’ll help support the decisions of senior non-finance stakeholders. The position is in Finance, but you’ll regularly be working closely with senior management in our Retail sales team, Shopfitting and Estates departments therefore it is imperative you have excellent communication skills and are confident to influence and present to people at all levels.

The ongoing management of our portfolio of 500 retail stores is a key part of the role - evaluating lease renewals and opportunities to add further concessions or new space.

All decisions are evaluated and supported by an appraisal process and in this role you’ll be the finance lead in that process before they are presented to members of the main board for approval.

With the support of an Assistant Finance Analyst you also will own the forecasting, budgeting and reporting of our store consumable costs, a cost of £30m a year!

Do you have:

  • Experience of producing high quality analysis and reports that shape commercial decisions?
  • A great attention to detail and cost control?
  • A desire to develop managerial experience?

Criteria

About you:

  • An experienced, ambitious qualified (or finalist) Accountant or Analyst with an inquisitive mind and excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • IT literate with advanced Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to prioritise workloads to ensure key tasks are achieved to the highest standards.
  • A can-do attitude, who will be flexible to the changing needs of the business and works well under pressure.
