Department Overview:

Internal Audit is a global organization of nearly 1500 professionals covering Citi's global businesses and service to clients and customers in over 160 countries. Citi's Internal Audit division provides independent assessments of the company's governance, risk management, ethics and culture, and the internal control environment for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, senior management and Citi's numerous regulators globally. Internal Audit is a change agent within Citi aimed to enhance the control culture of Citigroup worldwide and thereby support senior management decision making around the globe.

Role Overview:

The Senior Auditor is an intermediate level role responsible for performing moderately complex audits and assessments of Citi's risk and control environments in coordination with the Audit team. The overall objective is to develop & utilize in-depth subject matter expertise to contribute to the development of processes for the area or function and help Citi achieve its risk & control agenda.

Responsibilities:

• Perform internal audits and regulatory issue validations including drafting audit reports, presenting issues to business & key stakeholders, and discussing practical solutions & corrective actions.
• Complete assigned audits within budgeted timeframes, and budgeted costs.
• Contribute to the development of audit processes improvements that will result in an improved risk and control environment.
• Apply internal audit standards, policies, and regulations to provide timely audit assurance over the Bank's Treasury functions, including liquidity risk, interest rate risk, capital management.
• Develop effective line management relationships to ensure strong understanding of the business.
• Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Ability to exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Experience / Competencies:

• Relevant experience required, preferably in banking and capital markets.
• Attention to details and effective verbal and written communication, including stakeholder management skills.
• Subject matter expertise regarding audit methodology.
• Effective project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.
