Due to an internal promotion a leading Epsom based business is seeking a Management Accountant with Financial Analysis experience to join its team.

The role is to support the Finance Manager in providing the business with key financial and operational analysis. There will be a significant focus on the month end reporting cycle in order to produce timely, relevant and accurate management information, whilst striving to find more efficient ways of working.

Management Accountant- About The Role
The role is to support the Finance Manager in providing the business with key financial and operational analysis. There will be a significant focus on the month end reporting cycle in order to produce timely, relevant and accurate management information, whilst striving to find more efficient ways of working.
As the Management Accountant you will:
- Monthly management reporting
- Responsibility for c.70 corporate fitness site P&Ls, oversee month-end accounts for remaining 140 accounts. Review and check consolidated P&L, raise queries as required
- Work closely with other members of the finance team to produce accurate and understood monthly management accounts for distribution across the business
- Review requirements for monthly accruals/prepayments, deferred/accrued income, post as required.
- Analysis of monthly financial data, identifying trends and anomalies to increase accuracy of reporting.
- Support the Finance Manager in preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts
- Report site performance to Account Directors and Operations Managers
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations with supporting evidence on a monthly basis
- Prepare overview of all corporate balance sheets, including risks and opportunities
- Commercial Analysis & Support
- Analyse any underlying issues arising from any investigations and discuss potential solutions.
- Provision of accurate reporting packages for management - including KPIs, key deliverables and various financial reviews.
- Supporting Finance Manager with project work as determined by business needs.
- Working closely with Account Directors and Programme Managers at site, ensuring accuracy and consistency of local financial information.
- Identify and investigate variances against budget/forecast.
- Support Programme Managers in the day to day running of the financials.
- Support the Finance Business Partners with any ad hoc analysis
- Project work, analysis and other support as required.
The successful Management Accountant will have:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent part qualified/finalist/ qualified
- Significant (3 years plus) financial management reporting experience highly desirable
- Extensive experience of working in a Finance team, including strong double entry bookkeeping and balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience of using SAP an advantage
