Role Outline

The Director Treasury and Capital Reporting leads the planning, management, control and integrity of financial reporting to the NSW Treasury and leads the monitoring and reporting of NSW Health's Capital Program to maximise the value of the asset acquisition program and meet capital expenditure targets and statutory reporting requirements.

    Essential Requirements

    The successful candidate will have:
    • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in a relevant financial or economics related discipline and full professional membership of a recognised accredited accounting body within Australia
    • Extensive experience in public sector financial reporting with demonstrated experience in analysing internal information and translating this into NSW Treasury budget requirements
    • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, provisions of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983 and Regulations, the Financial Reporting Code for NSW General Government Sector Entities, Health's Accounting Manuals and Accounts & Audit Determination, Treasurer's Directions, and other statutory and central agency requirements and relevant legislation
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the NSW Health system particularly in relation to the financial management, accounting requirements and funding arrangements for the Ministry of Health and its controlled entities


    This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Public Service senior executive (PSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $202,040 - $225,094 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
