About the Role

Barnardos are looking for a full-time permanent Business Analyst based at Barnardos Head Office Ultimo. Reporting to the Manager - Product Delivery, the Business Analyst's key responsibilities will be;
  • Elicit, analyse, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders, whether they are customers or end users. This includes interviewing stakeholders; gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development process, and ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications.
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring Product Delivery teams understanding and documenting business requirements.

About You

To be successful in the Business Analyst role, you will ideally have;
  • Tertiary qualification in IT/Technical, Business Analyst, or equivalent course
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst
  • Proven ability in working end to end, from project initiation, scoping, documenting all processes, tasks, testing and implementation delivery
  • An understanding of Waterfall, Agile methodology and best practices
  • A self-starter attitude and a proactive approach to seeking improvements to ways of working
  • A mature ability to translate business needs into technical requirements, gathering functional and non-functional requirements, writing user stories, mapping out processes and creating wireframes using a variety of tools.

Barnardos offers a base salary, plus leave loading, plus superannuation. Salary packaging is available to receive $15,860 of your salary tax free. Motor vehicle packaging is available on selected roles.

To be considered for roles with Barnardos you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the ACT a Drivers History Check, Working with Vulnerable People Card and CYPS Check.
