The Role Strategic Costings across the Group Ensure accurate costings are prepared and maintained and weekly accruals of over / under recovery are maintained. Financial analysis and scenario testing to underpin decision making on the respective accounts. Assist in the standardising of costings throughout the group. Monitor actual performance versus standard costing to drive efficiencies and improve performance and profitability. Work closely, support and communicate with other departments including sales and operations. Maintenance and cleansing of master data and liaising with IT to develop BI reports. The Person Advanced excel skills and financial modelling experience. Ability to review and dissect large amounts of data. Competency in using other MS Office programmes. Good understanding of financial statements, financial systems and cost structures including standard costing. Proven ability to reflect manufacturing processes in detailed line by line costings. The ability to effectively communicate and express views in the appropriate manner on a one-one or group level basis. Strong organisational skills - planning, preparation and follow up. Highly self-motivated. Commercial awareness - good focus and understanding on those factors that impact on profitability and a good understanding of market conditions. Key Qualifications/Experience Professional accountancy qualification (for example ACA, CIMA). Experience of working within a FMCG industry, is desirable. All candidates must be flexible and be prepared to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand. Occasional travel will be required within this role.
