About the role

The Platform Owner provides accountability for end-to-end platform build, change and run by: Continuously generating opportunities to enhance the platform experience to meet end-user and Business Owners expectations and involving them in early feedback cycles and maintain alignment and ensuring alignment between Architecture, Business requirements and regulatory compliance.

The Platform Owner role will be responsible for establishing a high performing team.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy and Planning

• Set the vision and roadmap for the Platform and support evolving the current offerings and capabilities

• Remain abreast of new technologies and identify areas of improvement. Be a champion and advocate for continuous improvement and DevOps behaviours and processes.

• Ensure AMP keeps pace with market best practice with respect to asset currency, cost, quality and service and continue to most efficiently meet the changing needs of the business

• Define portfolio specific standards, frameworks, customer journeys and processes

• Ensure compliance to platform service design and service catalogue maintenance including new services development

• Assist in the definition and implementation of relevant workforce strategies taking into account the supply and demand parameters of BAU activity and strategic programs of work.

Delivery Management
  • Platform Management - ensure the platforms under portfolio like Service Now, Jira, Confluence and other SaaS applications remain current by performing regular upgrades and actively manage software licensing to ensure entitlements are not being breached
  • Manage the delivery of business requirements across the Service Now, Jira, Confluence and Other SaaS platforms, working closely with IT to ensure the right enterprise outcomes.
  • Define Platform Vision and Strategy and Understand SaaS Onboarding process.
  • Environment Management - support projects by ensuring the environments used by the project teams are always operational and stable.
  • Provide leadership and initiative on a day to day basis in handling a diverse number of scenarios in a structured and consistent manner. This includes analysing the workload at hand and ensuring the work is delegated to team members as required.
  • ITIL Service Operations Management - ensure performance of functions such as event, request incident, change and problem management
  • Solution Delivery - establish a development capability to support design, development and testing of platform changes.
  • Continuous Improvement - demonstrate the capacity of improving delivery operational processes on an ongoing basis.

People Leadership
  • Understand and contribute to the leadership vision, AMP business rules and standards
  • Actively encourage professional development and innovative practices within the team

Risk and Financial Management
  • Ongoing identification of key risks associated with technology services in the portfolio
  • Identification and implementation of mitigating controls with consideration of associated costs and benefits to allow the business to make informed risk and control management decisions
  • Provide input into the application budget and review spend against budget monthly

Partner Enablement

• Role models a "one team" mindset across all levels both internally and externally

• Builds relationships with key stakeholders and vendors for supported applications

Proven experience building high performing teams and developing talent

Capabilities & Experience

Tertiary qualifications in computer science, engineering or other relevant qualification.
