A global financial services firm is currently hiring a Finance Manager to directly support the CFO of their Australian operations. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the finance team, covering financial, regulatory, and management reporting. The successful candidate will have significant financial and regulatory reporting (APRA) experience within financial services. This permanent role will also offer up to three days working from home flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the production of monthly financial reports for Clearing entity
  • Assist Regional CFO with APAC management reporting and analytical reports
  • Ensure monthly returns are prepared in accordance with ASX rules and regulations, and monitor liquid capital requirements on a daily basis
  • Take ownership of the General Ledger contents and ensure all reconciliations are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and monitor the performance of the business against budgets for reporting in management meetings
  • Participate in regulatory audit processes and investigations, ensuring a compliance with local accounting standards and IFRS.
  • Review and attend to tax-related matters, ensuring policies and procedures are maintained
  • Management of the Finance department including executing the annual team plan and performance management processes.


Requirements

  • CPA/CA Qualified (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years financial or management accounting experience within Financial Services
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Great communication skills
  • Experience with accounting software, including Excel and Tableau
