JP Morgan CIB - Security Services - Investment Middle Office Services (iMOS)

Department Description - Investment Middle Office Departmental Outline:

JPMorgan Chase's Investment Middle Office (IMOS) acts as the Middle Office for our clients across a range of products, including but not limited to Listed Securities, Cash, ETDs, OTCs, Repos, Bank Loans and CFDs.

IMOS deals with all stages of the lifecycle for each product from broker matching, management of the client's custodial network, lifecycle events including corporate events, ensuring timely settlement of trades and cash, management of claims and overdrafts, client / regulatory reporting and input into the production of our Investment Book of Record delivery (IBOR).

IMOS Instruction Capture (IC) team within IMOS operations plays a key role implementing Client mandates & operational changes to Middle Office services. The team is responsible for delivery of time critical and high impact programs involving new client on-boarding, strategic platform integration across operational processes and efficiencies.

Programs managed include changes related to regulations, process re-engineering, client changes, technology changes and operating model changes. Team also focuses on challenging the current processes and leveraging self service automation tools like Alteryx, Xceptor and Tableau to develop and run optimal operational services

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis : Interact with external clients, internal stakeholders and regulators to gather and document requirements.
  • Analyze, design and implement new efficient processes for our current businesses.
  • Analyze, design and implement solutions for clients.
  • Product Delivery and Management: Manage projects against aggressive client commitments and deadlines. Ensure ordered and well documented product backlogs. Remove blockers to development progress. Manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Produce high quality documentation (BRD) for internal users and external clients.
  • Co-ordinate with downstream applications for new enhancements (demo, test cases)
  • Onboard new downstream applications for data consumptions (integration of applications)
  • Partner with IT / Feature Teams to translate user needs into accurate and complete business user stories (JIRA), document process flows (Visio, Powerpoint or Signavio)
  • Validate QA/UAT test conditions 'acceptance criteria' & results
  • Support technology release events, prior/during/post deployment, Participate in Production Support validation
  • Maintain effective relationships with sponsors, stakeholders, and key partners
  • Knowledge of XMLs, JSON, SQL, or Alteryx is a plus
  • Knowledge of Middle office Trade services, Matching/Settlement across asset class like Securities, FX, Money Market, Time deposits, Derivatives - ETD & OTC, bank Loans, Payments - some or most at minimal is a plus.

  • Requirements analysis, elaboration and documentation skills
  • iMOS - Middle Office services domain knowledge highly preferred
  • Understanding of the Agile methodology and experience of using JIRA and MS Office
