I am recruiting the role of Financial Controller for a well known manufacturer based in South Essex.
This role reports directly into the Finance Director but has autonomy to make the role your own. You will manage a site and work closely with the operational and commercial teams to improve the day to day performance, having a tangible impact on the business.
The role will require someone who is commercially minded and hands on, with the ability to provide expertise and have accountability for reconciliations, accruals, VAT and tax returns through to the development of monthly management and annual statutory accounts.
The candidate:-
• Full financial reporting from monthly management accounts to statutory accounts
• KPI reporting with various analysis and commentary
• Preparation of budgets / forecasts
• Manage the internal and external audit procedure
• Manage payroll process and pension scheme
• Oversee inventory, capital expenditure and the transaction finance function i.e. accounts payable, credit control, etc.
• Submission of relevant VAT and Corporation Tax returns
