Credit Research Associate

Our client, a Global Asset Management firm is looking to hire an Credit Research Associate to work within its Fixed Income team in London.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work within a team of four Associates and an Executive Director, covering mostly investment grade and some non-investment grade.
- To outperform the market and have a superior performance of funds.
- Conduct company research and securities recommendation in order to contribute to fund performance.
- To review and make concise reports on weekly and monthly sector and issuer bond performance.
- Co-work with portfolio managers and other credit analysts.

Key Skills:

- 2-3 years experience as a credit analyst at an Asset Manager or a Rating Agency.
- Good degree from an academic institution.
- A background of financial research or corporate accounting, with an enthusiasm and commitment to financial analysis.
- High Excel Skills are necessary.
- Strong aspiration to become Portfolio Manager through the course of the career path.
- Ability and will to work in a team in a collaborative environment.
- Clear spoken and written communication skills due to high involvement with portfolio managers and fellow investment analysts.
- Holder of Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Financial Analyst qualifications is welcome.
- Familiarity with corporate fixed income and spread/CDS markets and basic understanding of bond pricing and valuation concepts are preferred.
