Cost Accountant

Our client is looking to recruit a Cost Accountant on an initial 3 month contract to assist with an increase in work load

Description

The role will entail but won't be exclusive to:

- Fixed Assets register reconciliation and ERP system migration

- Obtain full understanding over the current Fixed Assets register with assets classification and locations

- Work with Operations to identify the physical items to the register

- Update the register with correct item descriptions, locations and remaining useful lives

- Work to migrate the cleaned FA register to local ERP system

- Develop and document a fixed assets management process and relevant controls

- Support Finance Manager in investigating any inventory discrepancies

- Take part in the monthly inventory cycle counting and annual physical counting

- Work with Operations inventory owners and provide Finance support when required

Profile

The successful candidate requires as a minimum:

- Part-qualified and working towards a full accountancy qualification

- Manufacturing experience

- Cost accountant experience

- Ability to research, compile, analyse and interpret data
