International Tax Manager - Retail Company - Bracknell / Slough - Circa £70k-£90k + bonus, benefits package
Robert Walters are hiring for an International Tax Manager for a multinational retail company based near in the Bracknel / Slough in Berkshire.
This is a newly-created, full-time permanent role.
Working closely with the Global Finance Director, the International Tax Manager will be the personal ultimately responsible for the global tax affairs of this £200m turnover business.
This includes looking after the tax affairs of the business in the UK where they are headquartered, but also in Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA.
This person will be ultimately responsible for all direct tax and indirect tax issues.
Initial tasks will be setting up good-quality global tax compliance and reporting processes with the external advisors and junior finance support staff, identifying key tax risks, and acting as part of the global senior leadership team providing input on all projects and group initiatives.
The company is looking for a qualified individual - Either a tax advisor (CTA) or a tax accountant (ACA / ACCA/ ICAS) or both.
They are happy to consider applicants from a large practice background, and from those with industry experience, and from individuals who have worked both in practice and in industry.
Ideally you will have both direct tax and indirect tax experience, but as a minimum you will be strong in UK corporate taxes, and you will be at manager level or above.
Strong interpersonal skills are a must, as well as the commercial acumen required to play an effective role as part of the senior leadership team.
The role comes with a salary of circa £70,000-£90,000 with bonus and benefits package on top, potentially also including a car allowance.
The role will be based in their Berkshire head office but also offers the ability to do remote working perhaps a couple of days per week.
