About the role...
We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant, on 12 month fixed term contracts to support our Mainland Europe Finance Team. Whilst these are Fixed Term Contract roles- the team has expanded considerably, and the business has experienced continued success in the pandemic. A lot can happen in 12 months!
Assistant Management Accountant role, working primarily within the Sweden Management Accounting team in the existing business, yet work within the other Mainland Europe MA teams is likely and expected. Main tasks will be ownership and production of surgery P&Ls, and working with the MAs across the business to deliver the monthly results.
- Owning specific surgery P&Ls and producing their monthly management accounts to a high level of accuracy
- Delivering Head Office P&L Reviews at month end
- Owning specific Balance Sheet accounts at month end and working with the team to deliver a comprehensively reconciled balance sheet pack each month
- Uploading the by month Budgets for new Acquisitions as required by the Acquisitions team
- Raising sales invoices and credits to clear intercompany balances as required by the MA Intercompany
- Utilising the finance system and practice management system reporting tools to improve the information provided by Head Office, and available for the team to drive efficiencies
- Being proactive in issue identification and resolution, including identification of profit opportunities
- Any other tasks as required
What are we looking for?
The successful candidates will have completed their AAT Level 4 / CIMA certificate level papers / ACCA fundamental knowledge papers, and previous experience in assistant management accounting roles preferable. You will have previous sufficient commercial experience and thrive working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, flexibility is key. We also looking for candidates with excellent IT skills including intermediate Excel, and experience of Open Accounts would be an advantage but not essential.
You are the type of person who has strong attention to detail, and able to deliver right-first-time results quickly. You are deadline focussed, and willing to put in the effort required to ensure they always meet them. Understanding of small companies and how they work and have excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well within the team, and communicate effectively but sympathetically with the surgeries.
