The Operations Finance team is seeking a Finance Analyst II to support Transportation Controllership for North America based out of Hyderabad.

The Transportation Finance Controllership team is responsible for finance support related to all payment and accounting activities in the transportation space, including import, domestic inbound, warehouse transfer, and outbound shipments. We partner closely with transportation business units and tech teams as they work to continually refine and scale the business to keep pace with Amazon's rapid growth. Along with our partners in Accounting, we are responsible for closing the books on Transportation shipments.

This specific role requires an analyst who has the ability to develop business insights in a dynamic environment while working with some of the world's largest data. As such, the analyst must combine business analysis skills with the ability to place them in a Finance or Accounting context. The Finance Analyst will be detail oriented, possess strong SQL skills, and have expertise in both qualitative and quantitative analysis. The right candidate will blend advanced reporting, critical thinking and project management skills while understanding and further developing our financial applications.

Job Requirements
• Ability to travel; up to 10% travel expected

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
• 3+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field
• CA or MBA finance would be preferable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated financial and/or analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and/or data interpretation and analysis
• Experience closing the books with large data sets
• Solid experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
• Highly analytical, detail oriented and a demonstrated sense of business management; ability to develop new ideas and ability to deliver solutions
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
• Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with peers and various levels of management
• Experience working with reporting tools (Essbase and/or Cognos)
• Knowledge of Manufacturing, Distribution Center or Logistics processes and systems a plus
• Prior experience working across teams and large organizations
• Good communication skills
• Experience performing financial and ad-hoc analysis using Excel
• Good Excel skills (pivots, index match, look-ups, etc.)
• Proven SQL ability (query writing, updating, validation)
