The Advice Technology Delivery function is the technical, operational, and project delivery hub of AMP, partnering with AMP business units to design, deliver and manage innovative technology and operational solutions that meet the current and future needs of customers. Wealth Technology are part of AMP Australia Technology and are accountable for maintaining and developing the platforms that support the administration of:
  • Closed Master Trust Products and Insurance
  • Contemporary Master Trust Products
  • Investment Products

The team are actively looking to future proof the Master Trust / Investment Platform.
About the roleAs a key technical role, reporting to the Platform Owner - Master Trust Products, the System Business Analyst is accountable for working closely with business and project representatives, solutions architects, software engineers and testers to investigate issues and design solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesStaying abreast of new technologies and working with vendor and industry partners to explore process and functional improvements that can enhance the service offering of applications currently in use.

Apply thought leadership and problem solving to investigate and quantify issues and solution enhancements.

Partnering with sponsoring projects, architects, developers and other design professionals to define and recommend the most appropriate solutions for a given need.

Gathering and documenting business requirements by working closely with project sponsors and business owners as well as fellow architects, developers and testers.

Documenting and defining user interfaces that incorporate business rules for the as required.

Defining and managing the requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business needs

Assisting development managers with the estimation of solutions and the prioritisation of functionality against desired cost benefit outcomes.

Building relationships and developing platform advocacy across a variety of stakeholders including internal customers, vendor and partners.

Working with the development team to translate business requirements into functional designs and architectures that meet stakeholder needs.

Working within agile and traditional software development methodologies requiring a high degree of collaboration.

Working within a deadline and cost driven environment.

Supporting the implementation of regular maintenance activities and projects ensuring delivery to desired outcomes and within budgets.

Providing recommendations for process re-design and improvements and actively participating in continuous improvement and capability uplift initiatives

Facilitating user acceptance testing, participating in defect triage and resolution activity.

Ensuring trade-offs between value and functionality are understood by the business and delivered solutions represent stakeholder needs.

Capabilities & Experience
  • 8+ years of Business/Systems Analysis in Financial Services
  • Good working knowledge of Super and Investment product sets
  • Some technical experience preferrable

Qualification/s required
  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science, engineering or business or other relevant qualification. Alternatively, has demonstrated experience in similar roles.
