About the opportunity
We are currently searching for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Information Services team to primarily work on data migration projects, application upgrades and enhancements. Reporting into the IS Program Manager, you will work closely with key business stakeholders with a key focus to conduct business analyst activities in support of the effective and streamlined delivery of specific ICT projects across Bolton Clarke.
In your new role, you will:
- Define and document business functions, system interactions and processes to implement solutions that improve effectiveness and efficiencies across Bolton Clarke.
- Identify and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures and input and output requirements.
- Apply modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special consideration to relative business perspectives and environments.
- Identify opportunities for improvement of business processes through information systems/and or non-system driver changes and assist in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
- Participate in studies of new and existing programs and special projects to determine organisational, procedural and technical issues and conduct research and analysis before reporting findings and outlining recommendations.
- Research and prepare statistical reports from Bolton Clarke data and consolidate information into cohesive and understandable correspondence for use in management decision-making.
- Deliver high quality documentation, ensuring alignment and compliance within the defined Business Analysis Framework, processes, tools, reporting regimes and approaches.
- Track and document changes to functional and business specifications, and write detailed, easy to understand procedures for organisational use.
- Support business readiness and change management to identify transition requirements and enable the business to realise project benefits.
- Report against an agreed project plan to the IS Program Manager, identifying any issues and providing necessary recommendations.
About you
You will have a professional level qualification or equivalent experience, with a proven track record of supporting both enterprise level ICT projects as well as smaller business initiatives. You will be a strong collaborator with excellent communication skills, who is comfortable with change and tight deadlines. Your experience working within ICT departments across either a multifunctional organisation, or within the health and aged care sectors would also see you succeed in this role.
