As a Senior Business Analyst you will ...
The Senior Business Analyst will conduct reviews and analysis of business operations, system and business needs to help manage the implementation of Digital solutions, as well as;
- Conduct analysis of agencies business processes and policies, related data, documentation and other relevant process artefacts as required
- Analyse and consolidate information to develop business cases to support the achievement of business objectives
- Assist in the management of multiple concurrent complex projects
- Provide expert support to management to present to key stakeholders and provide advice on technical issues to non-technical audiences
To be successful in the Senior Business Analyst role
- You are flexible, adaptable and experienced in working in complex environments and agile business framework.
- You will be a strong communicator and have the ability to foster effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- You are self-motivated and committed to delivering quality outcomes.
- Working knowledge and application of SQL
- Knowledge or experience in data security and its trends, especially privacy and consent
- Experience in data projects in large and complex environments
- Technical background or understanding of DevOps, API, CI/CD, cloud hosting etc.
- Knowledge or experience in data schema design using JSON and XML
- Knowledge or experience in data modelling
It would be a desirable if you have experience in the following, however not essential.
- Experience in the use Atlassian products, Jira, Confluence, SQL
- Familiar with data concepts, including big data, data warehousing, data engineering, data analytics and data science
- Knowledge of data standards in at least one domain (e.g. health, transport)
- Experience in data visualisation - Power BI or similar
- Knowledge of AWS data features
- SQL and no-SQL database design
- Experience in a data management project
