It's an exciting time at ING and we have an exciting opportunity for a 'hands on' compliance professional to join our Compliance Monitoring team.

The Compliance Monitoring team is responsible for assessing the effective implementation of compliance standards to meet local regulatory and global head office obligations. Key activities performed by the team include reviewing and challenging control testing outcomes, undertaking independent testing, performing thematic assurance reviews, and ensuring we meet our compliance regulatory reporting obligations.

What are you going to do? You will be...

  • Utilising risk, compliance and/or audit experience, as well as project management and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Having overall responsibility for planning and managing the program of work related to compliance reporting obligations including completing some targeted testing and analysis.
  • Taking the lead in delivering our compliance attestations, certifications, declarations and statements and develop and maintain our processes to support these activities, specifically including the Banking Code of Practice and CPS 220.
  • This role will also support the key deliverables across the Compliance Monitoring Plan and the Compliance function more broadly in proactively developing, managing and maintain a best practice compliance framework, to ensure that ING is compliant by desire and design.

What are we looking for? Someone who has...
  • Degree qualified in accounting, commerce, law or a related disciple, with 5+ years' financial services experience within risk management, compliance, assurance and/or audit.
  • Relevant knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and industry code obligations as they relate to ING, and experience across compliance regulatory reporting and compliance monitoring and assurance. Ideally, this experience includes exposure to ACL, Banking Code of Practice and CPS 220.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to research, interpret and assess compliance with applicable obligations and identify potential issues quickly and co-ordinate for acceptable outcomes with relevant stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and judgement, including the ability to evaluate impact and response to emerging risks and changes in prudential requirements;
  • We encourage creativity and the ability to think outside the box, resulting in innovative and alternative approaches to compliance.
