OVERVIEW

Fleet & OnRoad ACES Finance teams partner closely with global cross-functional business and tech teams to support this rapidly expanding business; driving controllership, innovation, sustainability through electrification of fleet, productivity, and cost-effective operations across the network in a fast paced environment.
We are looking for a Financial Controller that is excited to join a tech company that is constantly improving and reimagining the logistics industry. Our candidate should be passionate about using data to add value and solve big, complex and ambiguous problems. The ideal candidate should be eager to continuously learn and improve their skills. As part of the Fleet & OnRoad ACES Finance team, you will join a team that is passionate about numbers, data, and how to use them to generate insights and improve our business. We support and influence the AMZL organization by providing a holistic commercial and financial perspective, we are the trusted business advisors. We collaborate with our partners to ensure our leaders have the most up to date and reliable information, and work with them to make sure AMZL is making the best possible decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Reporting, Consolidation of EU Fleet Financial data to various EU and world-wide stakeholders
• Co-ordinate with Supply Chain FP&A and NA Finance Team the financial reporting of Fleet
• Supporting internal customer groups in all finance matters including Fleet controllership, R&O forecasting and cost control.
• Supervise and own all Month-end procedures including accruals and variance analysis between scenarios (actuals, Plan, Forecast...)
• Performance/oversight of GRC Controls testing
• Identify business risks and opportunities in year. Evaluate impact, propose changes, implement improvements with business to remediate gaps and create mechanisms and reporting to improve performance.
• Understands the details of the cost structure to make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be difficult to procure
• Collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reduction
• Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
• Be adaptable to changing request and priorities. Able to self-start and manage deliverables through ambiguity.
• Earn trust of your business partners to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions driving business improvements and cost reductions
• Building and owning relationships with wider Amazon group companies and departments. Working effectively with EU and WW colleagues.
• Communicates data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Your communications drive critical business actions.
• Hire, develop and mentor peers and team members, while promoting knowledge-sharing

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree (or equivalent)
• Prior work experience in finance
• Demonstrated business acumen while influencing and managing cross-functional relationships
• Ability to effectively communicate in English
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• MS Office
• Knowledge of SQL, advanced Microsoft Excel

• Willingness to support an unpopular opinion if it is in favor of the customer
• Manage and prioritize workload and work towards multiple deadlines
• Action-oriented in solving challenging business and technical issues
• Passion for diving into the vast and complex details of productivity and cost measurements
• Detail oriented and a passion for data with the ability to accurately summarize and share the relevant details
