Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be recruiting for a global firm in Sheffield as they look to recruit a Finance Analyst to support the Finance and MI team.

This new role of Finance Analyst is designed to help collect, present and use MI and finance data more efficiently and effectively. They are wanting some who is passionate about analysis and data and will use their skills creatively to help better shape the reporting and MI activity within the finance department.

Duties will include:-

*Dealing with requests for financial and business-related information and analysis - involving a high level of interaction with finance and business partners to inform and trouble shoot a wide variety of business issues
*Liaise with business users to understand their requirements for new analysis and reports across client reporting, performance reporting & management reporting
*Understand various query and reporting tools and be able to provide guidance on these to superusers
*Generate analyses and reports from single or multiple systems & data sources
*Troubleshoot the existing database environment and reporting catalogue, providing areas for continuous improvement of existing reports and processes
*Assist in the testing of newly developed reports and deliverables
*Provided training and support for self-service solutions.
*Involvement in various projects within the BI team and with other finance teams as required
*Share knowledge with the rest of the BI & Reporting team

Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

*Excellent numerical and analytical skills, preferably educated to degree level in Finance, Information Management, Maths or Statistics
*Knowledge of SQL and /or other data analysis tools
*Knowledge of data modelling and data cleansing
*Data quality control, validation and linkage and an understanding of data protection issues
*Ability to produce clear graphical representations and data visualisations
*Investigates problems to establish root cause and solve complex problems with creative solutions
*Knowledge and Experience of statistical data analysis techniques
*Experience using or developing reports in SAP Business Objects, Web Intelligence, TM1 Planning Analytics, or similar reporting & visualisation solutions
*Excellent problem solving skills
*Strong communicator
*Ability to handle multiple sometimes conflicting priorities, working to timescales in a fast-paced and challenging environment
*Ability to pick up and learn new technologies quickly
*Able to build trust and rapport to develop effective relationships, internally and externally
*Ability to understand and translate business requirements into reporting solutions and analytical data sets
*Demonstrate an understanding of finance processes and systems
