Reed Accountancy are working with a growing manufacturer in East Sussex as the recruit into their finance team for an Assistant Accountant. You will be working within a small team, responsible for the accurate and timely reflection of the business activities.
As the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the completion of monthly management accounts
- Preparing & processing month end journals
- Preparing the monthly balance sheet reconciliation
- Initial reporting and investigation of business variances
- Preparation and submission of statutory returns (VAT / EC Sales / Intrastat / NSO)
- System maintenance
- Year end audit - assisting in the preparation of year end audit file.
As the Assistant Accountant you will:
- Be part-qualified CIMA or ACCA, or suitably qualified by experience;
- Have a minimum of 2 years hand on experience in creation and analysis of monthly management accounts; and
- Have advanced Excel skills.
