Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is assisting in the implementation of technology solutions in a cost-effective way whilst working on a change request, Project or Program and by determining the requirements, and communicating them effectively to stakeholders and team members.

Job Description:

What you'll be doing:
  • Requirements analysis for change requests, BAU, on boarding new clients and projects.
  • Critically analyse and measure process to identify potential improvements
  • Carry out impact Assessments for System Change Requests.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the production of the Business Case for medium to large projects.
  • Identify and measure business benefit to project work allocated
  • Work as part of a project team delivering change within Optima Legal, process and systems
  • Production of business and functional requirements, process maps, and semi technical documentation (in conjunction with the Technical Specialists and Database Administrator).
  • Assist in the planning of small to medium system / process changes and projects
  • Working with project teams made up of staff from across the business (small to medium projects).
  • Provide regular written and verbal progress reports
  • Ad hoc problem resolution with processes / systems if required.
  • Coach Junior Business Analysts and other colleagues where required.
  • Identify opportunities through the role for continual business improvement.
  • Identify and manage tangible benefits through to business realisation.
  • Prioritising work according to business priority.
  • Assist in the test process and co-ordinate End-User-Testing to ensure sign off is achieved.
  • Co-ordinate Training with internal training team.


What we're looking for:

Essential:
  • Considerable experience in business analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience of business process modelling / re-engineering and associated methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge and experience of business change techniques and tools.
  • Confident self starter who can work with diverse teams and alone effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to compile clear and concise reports/documentation for differing audiences.
  • An ability to dissect issues and provide solutions
  • Confident and dynamic, yet diplomatic when communicating with all levels of staff both IT and business.
  • Experience of workshop facilitation.
  • Proven commercial knowledge

Desirable:
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Experience of managing change in a legal environment.
  • Experience of undertaking analysis involving Legal Case Management systems.
  • Experience of undertaking analysis involving Finance/Accounting systems.
  • Professional Business Analyst Accreditation
  • Knowledge of SDLC - either Waterfall or Agile
