About the role...
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant, to support our UK Finance Team. The team has expanded considerably, and the business has experienced continued success in the pandemic.
This role working closely with the Senior Management Accountant and Finance Manager on new surgeries joining IVC. The key tasks of the role will be sales reconciliation work, ownership of production of surgery P&Ls, balance sheet reconciliations and liaison with the surgeries on a regular basis to ensure they get up to speed with IVC policies and processes once they join the group. You will work with your team to ensure current processes are efficient and fit for purpose, and to help identify areas for efficiency gains to support the next phase of growth.

What are we looking for?
We are looking to hire someone who is strong academically and educated to degree level and qualified CIMA level or equivalent, we will also consider applicants who are not yet qualified but will be qualified by the end of 2021. You will be well experienced in management accounting roles in similar sized organisations and have commercial experience. You will be the type of person that thrives in a fact paced, constantly changing environment, so flexibility is key. You will have excellent IT skills including advanced excel, and confident on various management reporting systems, experience of Open Accounts would be an advantage but not essential. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, and able to deliver right first time results quickly. You will be deadline focused and willing to put in the efforts to ensure targets are met. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well within the team, and communicate effectively but sympathetically with the surgeries. Relevant languages would also be desirable.

- Owning specific surgery P&Ls and producing their monthly management accounts to a high level of accuracy
- Working with the team to deliver a comprehensively reconciled balance sheet pack each month
- Providing clear and actionable P&L explanation and commentary to the surgery business support managers each month
- Dealing with surgery queries regarding their results, providing support to Takings to clear their surgery reconciliation differences each month, and ensuring any surgery process issues are picked up and resolved
- Working with the team to ensure current processes are efficient and fit for purpose, and to help identify areas for efficiency gains to support the next phase of growth
- Regular interaction with the surgeries to answer queries and assist them with process adherence
- Any other tasks as required
