As the Management Accountant, you will be assisting and supporting the Financial Controller in all financial aspects of the business.

My client is a well-established organisation based in Brighton. they are looking for a Management Accountant to join the team, reporting to the FC.
Description
As the Management Accountant, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Fulfil all month-end processes including journal creation & monthly processing; close process and Month-end control processes. Ensure nominal ledger accounting is complete and each account reflects accurate information
- Assist in the accurate and timely creation of management accounts and board reports
- Prepare the quarterly VAT returns, ensuring they are submitted within HMRC deadlines and that they reconcile with the Nominal Ledger. Ensure VAT payments are timetabled and fulfilled
- On-going maintenance and control of Purchase & Sales Ledgers and payments
- Expenses processing and payment
- Approve Bank Reconciliations
- Maintenance and administration of accounting systems
- Respond to ad hoc accounting queries from Managers
- Adjust accruals and prepayment schedules to reflect year end requirements
- Assist with annual audit process
- Preparation of tax schedules and present to auditors at commencement of audit
- Ad hoc projects, reporting and analysis as required
Profile
To be successful in your application for Management Accountant, you should be/have:
- Part or full ACCA (or similar) qualification.
- Successful track record in a Finance role within business.
- Varied use of Financial systems.
- Experience of working in a professional service environment is preferred.
