We are currently recruiting for a Tax Investigation Director to join our Kreston Reeves team.

Role Description

You will be required to Take the lead role in Tax Enquiry work, develop new opportunities and develop the team to grow the service line. 

The objectives of the role

To assist with the successful running of the Tax Investigation department.

Responsibilities

Along with those responsibilities mentioned above you will be responsible for taking the lead role in managing Tax Investigations generally within the firm and for developing the profile of the firm externally in this area to generate additional fee income from external sources.

This is a key service line developmental position, and you will have autonomy to recruit and develop a team to grow the service line.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead role on larger tax enquiries
  • Providing guidance to other team members on enquiry work
  • Examining financial accounts and related documents
  • Managing junior clerical and technical staff
  • Investigating potential fraud & COP 9 cases
  • Developing the service line internally and externally
  •  Taking disputes before the tax tribunal if required.
  • Managing budgets and resources

Requirements

  • CTA qualification or equivalent
  • Demonstrable high level of experience of Tax Investigations.
