We are hiring an assistant to help our busy accounts team in our Eastbourne office.
You will have a number of key responsibilities in providing accounts and administrative support to all departments in the firm, including:
You will likely have some experience of being an accounts assistant or finance assistant, ideally within a legal environment. However, those with a similar professional services background are also encouraged to apply.
You do not need to have any formal accounting qualifications but would be open to training and aspire to become a qualified accountant. Experience in bookkeeping and accounts is essential, and knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules would also be advantageous. You will be numerate, organised and have good attention to detail. We look to recruit individuals who are ambitious, proactive and enthusiastic. This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).

The apprenticeship is based in a busy law firm.
There is noparking at the firm available but near to train station / bus stops.
You will be required to attend college one day per week, term time only, at the Eastbourne Campus. The rest of the time you will be in the workplace.

- Raising bills to our clients and taking payment
- Review of finances on matters
