Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a well-known manufacturing business based in North Manchester. My client is looking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant. The company has experienced significant sustained revenue growth with output rising from sub £50million to circa £100million during the last 5 years is still enjoying continued growth. They are looking to hire an experienced Management Accountant to join the team, reporting into the Finance Manager.
Job title - Management Accountant (Manufacturing)
Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

The Role

Main Duties
- Preparing and analysing monthly operational results; working closely with the manufacturing and supply chain teams to explain purchasing price variances and production performance variances.
- Finance lead for company product costing reviews/changes (across both manufacturing sites).
- Liaising with Planning team to ensure the appropriate SLOB provisions are maintained.
- Take responsibility for annual stock-takes across Europe - procedures and booking adjustments.
- Managing product master data and SAP condition tables in relation to mark-ups, purchasing and freight burden and recovery rates.
- Supporting the sales team on pricing decisions with costing information.
- Providing financial support to the engineering, supply chain and operations teams in VA/VE reviews.
- Participating in the "SAP Sprint" CI improvement process to implement business change and SAP enhancements.
- Supporting the business areas to prepare capex investment appraisals.
- Support working capital improvement initiatives.
- Preparing budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with the Weir Group policies and the Weir Group Code of conduct.
- Improving reporting capability (using Power BI).
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
- 2 years' experience within a similar role - ideally within a manufacturing industry.
- SAP experience is essential
- Understands and able to break down complex or diverse information; gathers and processes data to identify problems, draw conclusions and propose solutions.
- Able to consider different options and alternatives and make appropriate recommendations; work well with others to advise, resolve problems, and implement solutions.
- Be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude.
- Flexible and able to work on a variety of ad hoc projects.
- Strong organisational skills
- Highly competent in using MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel
