The Risk Desk Associate provides high quality risk management and proactive trade support for HC Technologies traders.
Essential Functions
- Manage all HC Technologies trading group risk using proprietary tools provided and generated within the firm
- Monitor risk strategies for traders' firm wide, inclusive of position reconciliations and trading models
- Monitor risk parameters, PNL's and escalate to management if trading thresholds are breached
- Ensure risk parameters are being followed and that trading groups are not breaching risk limits
- Accurately change trading model configurations i.e. risk settings, adding venues
- Analyze trade data and inform traders/managers of big market events affecting firm position
- Liaise with partners, managers, PBs, clearing houses, and traders to keep systems operations smoothly
- Close out tasks for current trade date i.e. statements, margin, position recs.
Qualifications and Skills
- B.S. degree in business, finance, economics, management information systems or related field
- 1-3 years of work experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge or experience in economic, financial reporting preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office application skills, Google apps, Bloomberg Terminal, TT, CQG
- Basic knowledge of programming language preferred (Python, C++, Linux System)
- Basic knowledge of foreign exchange & futures markets, trading systems

- Strong verbal communication skills required for time-sensitive issues
- Prioritize issues and thrive in high-stress environment with speed and accuracy
