Assistant Accountant

We are recruiting for a business in Skelmersdale for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing accountancy team.

Client Details

This business is very well established in a massive market and has shown considerable organic growth the last few years. They have an aggressive growth plan and are looking to double the size of their turnover in the next three years.

Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be part of the management accounts team and support them in the following responsibilities:

• Assisting in month end accounting including posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• Monthly reconciliations for the balance sheet
• Bank reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Cash flow forecasting
• Ad hoc financial analysis

Profile

We are looking the following skills/experience for the Assistant Accountant role:

• AAT qualified/early stages CIMA or ACCA with a desire to further with qualifications
• Experience in an accounts role with month end exposure desirable
• Good systems and Excel skills
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Able to work to fast paced deadlines
• Confident approach with a good hard working attitude
