The purpose of the role is to prepare accurate and timely accounts in accordance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements and statutory laws. Also the role will help support other team members, prepare reconciliations and ensure all company tax matters are attended.

Client is a leading and large family owned business operating in ANZ region.


  • Prepare monthly P&L accounts for branches and support office.
  • Prepare year end statutory accounts.
  • Respond to branch and support office queries.
  • Accurate and timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare & reconcile rental lease schedule and prepare & post monthly journals.
  • Liaise with the property team to set up monthly POs for rent and outgoings.
  • Prepare & post monthly wage journals and carry out wage variance analysis.
  • Assist Commercial Finance team in the preparation of the budget, as required.
  • Monitor FBT related accounts on a monthly basis and preparation of the FBT return.
  • Prepare, check and submit GST and BAS return for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Prepare and post FTC accrual and ATO journal.
  • Attend to R&D related matters and ensure R&D return is submitted on time.
  • Assist auditors with interim and year-end audits and follow up on any enquires.
  • Respond to information requests from Tax Agents (Australia and New Zealand).
  • Maintain relationship with auditors, banks, tax agents and ATO.
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and/or systems.
  • Various ad-hoc duties as required by FC/CFO
  • Preparation of commentaries and reports to the Board and Senior Management
  • Profile

  • Qualified CPA
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working as a senior financial accountant
  • Good technical accounting abilities
  • Good communication skills
  • Autonomous work skills
  • Good knowledge of applicable laws and standards
  • Good report writing skills
