Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager you will fulfil a critical governance role as defined under the Programme Delivery Agreement between the Delivery Authority and the Sponsor Body.
Client Details
One of the most loved and recognised buildings in the world is falling apart faster than it can be fixed and is in urgent need of repair. Restoring and renewing this will create thousands of new jobs and apprenticeships, while involving craftspeople and businesses from across the UK in a national effort.The project is run by a Sponsor Body and Delivery Authority, similar to the 2012 London Olympics. The Sponsor Body sets the scope, budget and timescale. It oversees a Delivery Authority, responsible for completing the work. The Programme will protect, renew and restore, for present and future generations delivering environmental, social and economic benefits across the UK.Description
You will support the development and delivery of the annual internal audit plan and assignments to assess all aspects of the organisation's compliance with statutory and fiduciary compliance, financial control and governance environment as well its management processes. You will also advise senior managers on the implementation of agreed actions and lead follow-up audit work which is necessary to ensure that the recommended changes and improvements have been implemented successfully.
Alongside this you will identify areas recommended for improvement and prepare reports on these to senior management and ultimately the Risk, Assurance and Audit Committee, advising on levels of assurance and to minimise duplication.
Profile
To be successful in your application you will be an experienced, qualified or part qualified Internal Auditor or Accountant with a recognised body (CIIA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), you will have experience in Internal Audit role in a similar organisation and ideally have experience of operating in an organisation delivering major and complex infrastructure projects.
