A growing and highly regarded firm of chartered accountants based in Exeter is looking to recruit a Personal Tax Semi Senior / Senior into their team, as a key addition in a role offering increasing responsibility, technical skill development with increasing involvement with tax planning projects and progression path on offer.

One of the larger firms of chartered accountants in Exeter, with a highly reputable private client and personal tax team providing an environment where individuals can benefit from mentoring and ongoing support from a team of highly experienced ACA/ATT & CTA qualified managerial and partner support. The firms personal tax clients are wide ranging in complexity and cover a wide spectrum of backgrounds, with interesting and varied business interests. Clients will cover straight forward personal tax return cases through to HNWI's, company directors, partnerships, trusts, probate and international tax clients, with resident/non-resident tax affairs. You will be encouraged and supported to progress technically in your tax career, with support for further studies on offer for those looking to move onto CTA/TEP post ATT etc.

Description

Joining as Personal Tax Semi Senior / Senior based in the firms Exeter offices, you will support the Tax Partners and managers in providing taxation services, with an element of the role involving hands on preparation of tax returns for wide ranging individuals, trusts and partnerships, preparing correspondence for submission to clients and HM Revenue and Customs Alongside this you will act in a mentoring capacity to more junior staff, reviewing work and supporting their development. You will also have genuine opportunity for involvement in tax planning for clients, across areas such as IHT, international tax and/or probate work with the genuine opportunity to focus down areas of interest and specialism as you progress in your personal tax career.

Profile

You may be ATT qualified, or studying ATT/CTA, or have developed your career through experience only to date. Most importantly you will have at least 2 - 3 years or more experience within the accountancy practice sector, working for a firm of accountants of any size with demonstrable key experience within personal tax, preparing personal tax returns for varied clients with any involvement in tax planning project work a bonus but not essential. You will be looking to further your career in this sector as a Personal Tax Semi Senior / Senior and be looking to progress technically seeing a clear path on offer within a leading firm of Exeter accountants.

Job Offer

Ranging from £18,000 - £28,000 + dependent on the level and background of the right professional, plus benefits and study support
