Your Opportunity

We are excited to have partnered with a Brisbane based organisation who pride themselves upon their expertise in their field. This organisation has entities both nationally and internationally, so you will have the opportunity to interact at a real 'group' level.

Over the last few years, the organisation has gone from strength to strength. They pride themselves on a world-class reputation and highly customised service to both customers and suppliers. The operations here in Brisbane are close-knit with a high performing team at the forefront of business operations.

This position will offer the right individual a chance to not only be responsible for broad assistant and financial accounting work but also the ability to share the broader business planning and daily operations. In fact, it is integral that the successful candidate has an open mind and a keen interest to understand the broader business and the value of long-term relationships therein.

You will report directly to the Accounting Manager, who in fact began their own career with the organisation in a very similar role to this one. This means that you will have the support, guidance, and platform to thrive within your new role from the outset. Your new manager is genuine, hard-working and leads by absolute example.

This business-critical position will be hands-on with the day-to-day operations of the finance function, ensuring that financial practices and procedures are adhered to. You will be involved with financial accounting duties including oversight of bank reconciliations, performing financial statement reviews, completion of month end processes, budgeting, forecasting, and assisting with managing external service providers, such as year end group audit as required.

We'd love to speak with you if you are a person with a professional mindset, driven by the desire to learn, take imitative and learn about broader business operations across international entities. We're looking for a candidate who can lend their hand to the work, but also their mind to facilitate broader ideas within the team.

To be considered for this position you will have similar experience in a previous role , with an understanding that to be successful, you are a team player who doesn't mind picking up a few extra tasks to better the daily operations. As mentioned, we value your technical capability but your desire and capability to partner with people and create meaningful, collaborative relationships is just as important.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Extraordinary ability to multi-task and attention to detail are critical.
  • A sound level of communication and ability to engage with a multitude of stakeholders across the business.
