THE POSITION

We are looking for an experienced, team-oriented, dynamic and highly motivated Business Consultant to strengthen the IT Financial Planning team.

In this role you are acting in a challenging environment, working at the interface between Finance and IT, willing to re-shape established business processes for overarching optimization with the help of state-of-the-art IT solutions. You will be responsible for leading international projects by introducing and further developing our global financial planning and consolidation platform. Furthermore, you will be the responsible technical lead for newly introduced solutions and key contact for Finance from an end-to-end perspective.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects on a global level from beginning to end, delivering the defined scope in time, budget and quality.
• Take care of the system life cycle management end-to-end as System Lead (design, planning, implementation and operation) for the existing SAP BCS for HANA solution for financial reporting and potentially additional related systems to be implemented in the future. This includes providing an efficient support model for the respective IT solutions and Business Partners including management of external vendors and contracts.
• Key contact for our Business partners in Corporate Finance by maintaining a close relationship to gain a deep understanding of Business processes and needs in order to influence IT related Business decisions.
• Responsible for demand management and project prioritization for the assigned Business area.
• Capable driving the aligned process and technical roadmaps together with your Business Partner supporting the overall IT strategy.
• Identify and evaluate potential innovations in your area of expertise and promote these innovations to be implemented together with your business counterpart in order to create additional business value.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, Informatics or comparable or Bachelor's degree with several years of relevant working experience.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in an interface role between business and IT (e.g. as Business Consultant, Application Architect, Technical Lead), ideally with Finance domain knowledge focusing on enterprise performance management (financial planning, consolidation, reporting)
• Experience in project management and ability to deal with interdependent project tasks in a global fast-moving and agile project environment.
• Experience as a developer or technical consultant, ideally in the area of financial planning and consolidation, focused on SAP solutions considering SAP BW as underlying technical platform. Preferably already with experience in SAP BCS or eager to learn and to acquire the respective knowledge.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English required (verbal and written)
• Confident in negotiations, assertive and determined in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Team player with background in working in an international and intercultural environment as well as a distinctive solution-oriented approach
