Position: Finance Director / COO (Permanent), DUBLIN

Reporting to: CEO

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for all financial aspects of the Group as well as managing the operations and supply chain of the business in Ireland. The FD / COO will support the CEO in driving the commercial and strategic growth of each of the operating divisions.

Functional Responsibility:

The person will be responsible for Finance, Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, HR and IT.

Finance
  • Responsible for ensuring the completion of day to day finance and accounting activities to support the business operations.
  • Ensure all tax, accounting, legal and compliance requirements are met.
  • Deliver monthly Management Accounts and KPI reports- providing meaningful analysis and commentary on performance of all divisions and operations of the business.
  • Ensuring appropriate systems, procedures and strong internal controls are in place across the business.
  • Lead the process for budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Support the management of supplier relations to ensure compliance with agreements.
  • Develop cost control measures, cost estimates and forecasts to support business budgets and plans.
  • Manage the Cash-Flow of the Business and ensure the company is fully funded to execute its growth plans.

Commercial / Operations
  • Proactively partner with the sales team and CEO to analyse new market opportunities - evaluate commercial opportunities and pricing strategies.
  • Working with the CEO to develop and implement effective processes and procedures to drive efficiencies across operations.
  • Work across all functions of the business to support operational management day to day.
  • Maintaining a professional image for the company in all dealings with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relations across the business and teams.


Qualifications and Experience Required

Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE in Industry.

Proven ability to be influential at all levels within the organisation.

Proven Commercial acumen.

ERP System experience, Sage an advantage
  • Proven organisation and time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Good analytical skills and ability with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient verbal, written, presentation and communication skills in English
  • Composure and professionalism at all times, even when under pressure.

Remuneration is negotiable and will depend on experience.
