This role will be an integral part of the UK Operations Finance Team and will provide financial support and analysis, particularly, management reporting of key performance indicators to assist managers in achieving their financial and operational objectives.

The role will provide primary support to the Manufacturing Finance Business Partner and the wider UK Operations Finance function as required. The role will also assist with cost centre reviews, quarterly forecast and annual budget submissions. The Finance Analyst will feed business knowledge into the Finance Operations team in order to support the calculation of accruals and prepayments.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with the setup of standard costs for new products including associated master data (eg. Purchase Information Records, TM1 costs etc) and the annual standards roll process.
  • Review variances to standard cost - material usage variance, production variance,
  • Carry out expenses reviews monthly with budget holders
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly actual reporting, quarterly forecast and annual budget submissions
  • Support daily & weekly management reporting & meetings
  • Preparation and present the monthly financial results to the wider leadership team
  • Link with Finance Operations team on any ad-hoc/ system related projects to ensure that the provision of Finance Information for analysis and reporting meets the needs of the relevant business areas.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requirements and complete any SOX work as required including ensuring cycle counts are compliant
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting requirement
  • Support the business with productivity reviews - verifying/driving potential savings.

  • Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with post qualification experience gained within a large manufacturing organisation
  • Excellent understanding of world class management accounting techniques and demonstrated track record in their implementation
  • Strong leadership style, with the presence and ability to influence across functional boundaries and to gain respect and credibility at all levels in the organization
  • Passionate about performance improvement with a driven style characterised by high energy and the ability to energise others with his/her enthusiasm
  • Comfortable with challenging others and being challenged and highly capable of establishing collaborative relationships in environments of conflict
