Mission

  • Ensures that the accounting department is staffed with qualified financial personnel capable of meeting the objectives and responsibilities, noted above. Responsible for continued development of these associates.
  • Recognize general need for continuing education in his/her own field within the company; plan and conduct internal and external training on complex topics, both domestically and in other countries (e.g. on accounting rules/handbook, etc.); define and further develop specific methodological knowledge
  • Determine and optimize internal standards and complex processes within his/her own and neighboring fields of expertise, taking into account relevant systems, instruments and methods
  • Ensure that credit risk is balanced with business objectives, targets are met and that only valid claims with proper management authorization are paid.
  • Oversees the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting, balance sheet management (including inventory related items) and management expenses.
  • Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected.
  • Provides technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all company entities. At times, this may include involvement in due diligence and other complex activities.
  • Ensures that company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with Draexlmaier policies, IFRS and local GAAP. Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance.
  • Ensures that the accounting systems continues to operate as required. Involved in validating/designing suggested changes to ensure accounting requirements continue to be met.
  • Assure implementation and compliance with Tax and accounting statutory requirements and standards, as well as internal processes, systems and methods (also internationally, as appropriate)
  • Coordinates work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records. Is further responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility, resulting from the audit findings
  • Conduct accounting projects, permanently optimize the processes and procedures, including possible transfer to shared service centers
  • Support the implementation, development and optimization of SAP financials (i.e Synapsis) in close cooperation all involved units : (focus on FICO- Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Assets management, Project System, Results Analysis, Unsettled Costs, Month End Close) and proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and suggest appropriate system solutions.


Profile

  • Strong Academic background through a university Degree (CPA, ACCA, MBA...) with immense years of experience built on concepts and principles in a specialized field or a broad insight into different fields (requiring a high degree of innovative and conceptual thinking within a scientific discipline)
  • 10 years or more in Finance (Accounting/ business administration) with proven project experience in SAP-implementation projects / configuration of SAP FICO-SAP MM...
  • Have a good knowledge of financial processes within a large scale international operating companies and open to master new technologies that are related to S/4 Hana
  • Fluent in English (German will be an asset)
  • Good communication skills
