Job Tittle: Sr Group Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis.

Location – Chennai

As a member of the FMA team, the identified staff will be based in Chennai, India. This person is responsible for providing oversight for the IS Teams responsible for the delivery of financial analytics and reporting in support of the assigned line of business, corporate function, or region. S/he is accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing management of enhanced bank enterprise business decision capability through robust, standard reporting, data, and decision support, enabled by the various tools. This executive will establish and manage the day to day operations of the IS Unit in India and it’s virtual members; to develop, implement, and sustain the content criteria for the standard Management Reporting Pack, and support Business Intelligence (BI) and advanced analytics methods, tools, and delivery support across the global lines of business (LOB). This individual will manage a large team to refine, implement, and sustain ongoing requirements.

Essential Functions - Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Directs a Financial Planning and Analysis area responsible for the delivery of financial analytics and reporting in support of assigned line of business, corporate function, or region of medium size and/or complexity.
  • Provides oversight for multiple teams responsible for the delivery of financial analytics and reporting in support of assigned line of business, corporate function, or region.
  • Works with the business and CFOs to ensure team produces information and data needed to compile annual operating, capital, and strategic plans.
  • Directs teams in compiling and updating short term and long range forecasts to reflect changes in business strategies and business intelligence in the competitive environment. Provides guidance on forecasting methodology.
  • Oversees the compilation of financial information and complex analysis of supported business areas for input to annual operating, capital and strategic plans.
  • Oversees and provide guidance on performance reporting for a variety of key performance indicators. Leads the interpretation and summarization of findings.
  • Assists with ad hoc strategic planning analyses. Ensures financial analyses capture appropriate information with regards to new projects or business opportunities.
  • Should drive standardization across the groups as well as improving efficiency across the teams.
  • Manages multiple teams of Financial Planning and Analysis professionals, including their performance management and career development. Manages financial and budgetary resources of the team.
  • Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives

Qualifications

  • An MBA from a reputed Institute or a Chartered Accountant or its equivalent
  • Experience of 15 – 18 years. Experience in budgeting, planning, forecasting, financial analysis and modeling. Business intelligence, marketing and pricing analytics a plus. 7 -8 years should have been in a leadership role
  • Good understating of Banking/Financial Institutions
  • Strong written and oral communications skills in English is required. Excellent presentation skills
