About the role...

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant Manger, to support our Mainland Europe- Netherlands Finance Team. The team has expanded considerably, and the business has experienced continued success in the pandemic.

The role involves and demand a strong people management ability. The ideal candidate will be in charge of a team of four Management Accountants. The post-holder will be accountable for the timely and accurate production of P&L's and Balance Sheets of certain range of clinics, during monthly, quarterly and yearly closings. The BAU (Business as Usual) team in charge of all accounting daily routines of all practices in that in that country, as soon as the Integration team finishes their activities with recently acquired companies and hand it over to the BAU team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the SSC stakeholders as required, mainly the Integration, Banking, Takings and Commercial teams.
  • Month end reporting to include creating and posting journals
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Sales reconciliations
  • Ownership and production of clinic P&L's, Balance Sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities, to include liaison with in country teams where appropriate.
  • Providing commentary on the monthly to the Finance Manager.
  • Manage Leases, CAPEX, Prepayments and Takings Control for the whole of the Netherland's practices.
  • Work with other Shared Service Centre stakeholders to manage and understand the drivers for the key accounts' variances, supporting the local (in the Netherlands) team with their queries.
  • Support on the preparation of the external audit and ongoing audit queries.

What are we looking for?

We are looking to hire someone who have the ability to adapt and be flexible, completed by an enquiring nature to be able to confidently deal with the variety of different challenges presented by senior stakeholders, both in the Netherlands and in the UK. You will also have the ability to build strong relationships both within the SSC and with the NL team. The successful candidate will be detail oriented with the ability to gather, structure, consolidate and analyse large amounts of data and develop an overarching view that describes the key message for Management's use and colleagues. You must be a Qualified Accountant with experience a robust experience as people manager in similar sized business. You will have excellent IT skills including advanced MS-Excel© skills, and confident on various management reporting systems, experience of Open Accounts would be an advantage but not essential. Previous experience with Private Equity firms would be an advantage.
