Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for financial reporting covering both periodic and ad-hoc requirements; maintain the accuracy and reliability of all data in compliance with corporate directive and the appropriate statutory and legal requirements.
- oversee and participate in feasibility studies and due diligence on potential investment and development projects, organization budget determining cost effectiveness of respective development project and its execution, to advise on the investment impact to the group cash and profit position.
- Treasury management including cash flow reporting and ensuring efficient cash collections and compliance with banking covenants. Owning and managing the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting process.
- Strict application and compliance of Financial Reporting Standards (FRSs) and to ensure internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with regulatory laws and rules for financial, statutory, audit and tax reporting requirements.
- Manages consolidation of accounts and group reporting requirements.
- Ensuring adequate internal controls are in place.
- Close working relationship with external auditors and tax agent to ensure timely completion of annual audited accounts and submission of tax returns.
- Analyse financial statements to pinpoint potential weakness areas, review and monitor performances of business units.
- Train and guide subordinates on the applications of technical accounting knowledge.
- Accountancy degree or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICMA or equivalent with minimum 10 years broad based experience with at least 5 years related experience in Public Listed Company.
- Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statement and projections
- Experienced in liaising with bankers on funding requirements and project accounting attentive to details, alert and capable of identifying business growth and cost saving opportunity as well as process improvement alternatives.
