Due to the pandemic the team are curremtly home based until the office reopens. The support of an organisation that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives and ideas to achieve your best.Responsibilities as Financial Accountant:- Managing day to day and month-end accounting activities, including but not limited to journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, tax reports, cost reporting and analysis, accounts payable review, fixed asset maintenance- Booking & recording the general accounting documents and safekeeping- Manage year-end external audits- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow & ERP- Working with Business/Marketing & Finance teams to quantify and analyze financial performance- Managemening of an accounts assistant (dotted line)- Preparing of sales flash reports to reporting deadlines- Managing of rebate discount accruals to ensure they are in line with current expectations of payments required, working with Divisional Controllers to ensure timely payment- Managaging month end activities including jnl posting; accruals and prepayments; reconciliations; data analysis, review of functional numbers, and allocation of functional costs to divisional units- Managing the month end review pack for all Balance Sheet reconciliations for review with Financial Controller- Preparing, coordinating, and managing the submission month end accounts into HFM to group deadlines- Managing the systems mapping to ensure correct HFM reporting- Preparing quarterly tax calculations (including forecasting) and assistance with annual group corporation tax returns- Generating entity and Business Unit management reports- Analysing data including cost reporting and dealing with ad hoc queries- Managing audit queries (internal and external)- Managing statutory statistical returnsSkills and qualifications required for the Financial Accountant:- Strong analytical skills- Ability to manage ad hoc projects in addition to routine duties- Demonstrate ability to prioritize and deliver results within time constraints- Strong communication skills to manage various stakeholders across a matrix organisation (division finance, credit team and shared service centres)- Management of year end processes including tax, pension adjustments, statutory accounts and auditor relationships- Excellent interpersonal skills to contribute as a key team member- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting or finance- Qualified Accountant, preferably with a CIMA qualification (or equivalent ACCA, ACA etc) and extensive experience in industry (continual and recent experience in manufacturing would be an advantage)- Advanced excel skillsAbout Ecolab Institutional:Discover how our partnership with customers helps serve 45 billion restaurant meals and clean more than one billion hotel rooms.
