Interim Financial Controller

My client, a manufacturing business based in West Sussex are looking for an interim financial controller on a 6 month contract.

Description

Preparation of monthly financial statements for company from multicurrency records

 Managing a sound and up-to-date book keeping process in ERP system

 Maintenance of fixed asset registers

 Preparation of budgets for business

 Cash flow forecasting / working capital control

 Filing VAT and PAYE returns

 Loading weekly and monthly reports into Hyperion Business Tool

 Planning and coordinating annual stock counts

 Ensuring data integrity in in ERP system

Additional Responsibilities:

 Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes

 Evaluating, operating and monitoring accounting and internal control systems

 Monitoring and developing business performance metrics

 Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding all of the company's financial affairs

 Preparation of annual published accounts, liaison with auditors, clearance of queries

 Arrangement of company insurances

 Control of bank accounts and credit cards

 Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions

 Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process and managing the budget processes

 Responsibility for Corporate taxation

 Responsibility for Corporate Trade Compliance

Profile

Previous experience as Financial Controller or other senior accounting position

 Previous experience managing a team

 Previous experience using finance package

Additional Information:

 Good IT/software skills (ERP systems, BI tools)

 Interest in maintaining and improving ERP systems

Job Offer

£50,000 - £60,000 and potential permanent position
