We are looking for a Finance Operations Coordinator to join our Finance Operations team. Supporting the team with internal customer support from branch queries and cash collection through to providing operation support to the business around retail store stock movements and processes, this is a great opportunity for someone who has excellent Excel skills, someone who is a great communicator and loves being a part of a team!

This role is based at our head office in Leicestershire.

About the role:

Internal customer support

  • Answer queries received via multiple mediums and to resolve queries quickly and efficiently
  • Escalate queries and issues to other departments e.g. Security, POS, Store Services & Line Management
  • Produce and publish business communications
  • Produce procedures and maintain a Procedures database
  • Provide key season events cover i.e. Sale, Stocktake & Bank Holidays to maintain business support function

Operational tasks:

  • Maintain and implement procedure documents for each area of responsibility, having the ability to take the initiative and push forward business processes on an ongoing basis.
  • Banking Operations: Coordinating cash movement throughout our Retail business, ensuring that we maximise process efficiencies throughout our internal & 3rd Party clients.
  • Minimise cash loss: comprehensively review/ resolve cash losses with Retail stores, including the ability to Provide accurate backup to support financial adjustment/ reconciliations.
  • Maintenance of Travel & Expense platform including the reconciliation of expense submissions & Company credit card applications.
  • Online payments: Completion of detailed daily/ weekly audit checks around all manual processing activities around online captures/ refunds, being able to relay findings to department Management.
  • Coordination of key seasonal events including Stocktake, End of season Recalls, l New/ Store Openings & EOS sale events.
  • Being able to maintain & implement date MI stats through the various technologies in use throughout the business.
  • Being able to process and accurately deliver requests for information from our internal stakeholders (Ad Hoc queries).

General

  • Plan your own daily workload, ensuring maximum efficiency.
  • Provide cover within the broader Finance Operations team when required - holidays/sickness/Peak Times .
  • Occasional Store visits to support understanding of core responsible tasks or complete testing of various systems area’s

Criteria

About you:

Essential

  • Advanced Excel (or equivalent technology i.e. Google sheets) knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work to tight and strict deadlines
  • Confident communicator at all levels both internally and with third parties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised and flexible approach to work with a strong ability to multitask
  • Enjoy problem solving and have the ability to explain clearly the steps to the resolution
  • Work well under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work using own initiative whilst contributing to a team
  • Actively develop yourself and learn new skills

Desirable

  • SQL knowledge preferred although no essential, on job training provided on this
  • Experience in working for a Operational Finance Team
