Your new role
A line 2 role, you will work alongside Compliance Advisory and Frameworks team and look at Compliance breaches and incidents and whether they need to be reported. This is a growth role in the team due to the upcoming regulatory change in October 2021.
A 2LOD role in a small team, having the ability to work across a wide array of incidents and breaches that occur and consult the regulations. Hybrid/flexible working on offer with two days in the office as well as other staff benefits from being a permanent employee of the bank.

Your new role

- Assessing compliance incidents in retail banking to identify breaches of law, regulations, industry codes, rules, standards and guidance issued and/or enforced by a Regulator
- Working around ASIC breaches and whether they need to be reported to the regulator
- Assist Senior Compliance Manager in board reporting, control testing and audit preparations
- Develop an understanding of the businesses we support and how laws and regulations may apply such as Banking Code of Practice
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant time-frames assessing various breaches with varying levels of complexities
- Tertiary qualification in finance, business, law or a relevant discipline is desirable
- Understanding of compliance frameworks, financial services law, obligations and familiarity with policy requirements from ASIC, BCCC and AFCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in providing concise and clear advice
- Someone with logical mindset and can think outside the square
- Able to sift through the noise to pick out the core laws and legislation that applies
