Accounts Technician

Accounts Technician Salary: £20,000 Location: Belfast (onsite parking) Our client is a leading company in the FMCG sector and put in place a strong structure for local economic growth. We have an exciting accounts technician role to report to the company accountant. Accounts Technician You will have responsibility of accounting activities which cover international clients. Reporting daily weekly and monthly for ensuring efficiency this is an excellent opportunity for a reputable company. Reporting directly to the Accountant your responsibilities will include the following : Responsible for the purchase ledger including positing & journal entries Maintaining the sales ledger including raising and processing of sales invoices Month end reporting for management including PowerPoint presentations on month end sales based on previous month Limited credit control duties Monthly VAT returns Depreciation calculations of fixed assets / stock management Update on Long-term / Short-term cash flow Weekly bank Reconciliations Supplier payment runs Prepare the monthly cheque runs Checking and identifying of all bank lodgements and payments Ad hoc duties Criteria: Proficient in Microsoft Excel including Pivot tables / V-look up Accounting Technician qualification or studying towards / Qualified by experience 2 years minimum experience in a busy accounts function Experience of EFACS accounts would be desirable but not essential as training will be involved For more information please contact Stephen Turkington on 02890 325 325 or apply via the link We reserve the right to heighten shortlisting criteria dependent upon the calibre of response.
