What is the role? Reporting to our Head of AU Financial Control, as our new Senior Financial Accountant, you will assist in financial accounting of the finance team. The role will ensure that all levels of Arthur J. Gallagher and external stakeholders receive accurate and timely financial information whilst remaining compliant. More specifically, the role will see you responsible for: Ensure month end tasks are completed to quality standards in accordance with Company policy Accurate and timely preparation of reports to internal and external stakeholdersIncluding financial accounting issues, financial reports, Year End Statutory accounts preparation, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, revenue and expenditure classification Internal controls, audit and policies and proceduresIncluding ensuring systems, policies and procedures are up to date, liaising with auditors, preparing year-end auditing files and checklists Cash management - to ensure interest revenue is being maximised Line management of an Assistant Accountant Trade practices - ensuring compliance with legislation and that employees are aware of their obligations under this. What are we looking for? To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Business, with CPA or CA qualifications Demonstrable experience in a similar role within preferably finance or banking A can-do attitude, good commercial acumen, customer service focus and strong attention to detail.
