Job Background/Context:

- Planning and Analysis is part of the Finance division and provides financial and related business information to Citi management to allow them to make informed business decisions and set key strategic goals. This includes management reporting, Budgeting, Outlook and Forecasting and preparation of analysis to support the decision making
- Incumbent is expected to work with region and global teams
- Mumbai FP&A COE is an integral and key partner of the Global FP&A team

- Responsibilities:
- Support the Forecasting Transformation efforts for North America Consumer Bank (NACB) Finance across all products, in support of Citi-wide and Finance Transformation priorities
- Team shall be responsible for optimizing and integrating all forecasting processes across CCAR/capital planning, strategic planning, business/operating planning and outlook processes
- In partnership with corporate, business and product planning teams, provide the analysis to help define use case requirements and planning segmentation rationale across all forecasting processes
- Team shall be responsible to improve the accuracy, agility and control of forecasting processes by completing and optimizing the model forecast library for all NACB businesses
- Mumbai team shall work closely with NACB Transformation lead. Collectively, the team will work in partnership with Finance Transformation team to detail end state design implications for NACB and enhancement approach
- Support the analysis to help identify and incorporate key data and operational dependences across Finance, Risk and Business work streams
- Assist in driving convergence and standardization of forecasting tools, including implementation of a Common Model Framework
- Support implementation of firm wide planning infrastructure Transformation, in close coordination with GCB segment and Corporate FP&A
- Provide the analysis to create path for consistency in approach and implementation of forecasting enhancements across markets and products
- Assist in Standardizing and documenting planning processes across use cases
- Work with Transformation lead and coordinate with Model Risk Management to establish criteria for process and planning model validation
- Enhance review and challenge in progress towards convergence of modeling approaches
- Help define key milestones and deliverables over multi-year Transformation horizon
- Identify and track key performance metrics for transparency and accountability
- Define and escalate key transformation execution risks and mitigating actions
Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience: - Understanding of financial analysis and management reporting
- Experienced in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint and Excel)
- Experience of working with financial data and knowledge of financial reporting tools
- Essbase, Business Objects would be a plus
- Interest in business and economic environment
Education: - Professional degree equivalent to CA/MBA/BMS Finance
Skills: - Effective communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail is an essential part of the job
- Adaptability, multitasking and project management skills
- Demonstrate an ability to learn and desire to develop and improve by challenging status quo
- Interpersonal skills (ability to work with colleagues at all levels across multiple locations)
