The Role
- Evaluate the risk of all new prospective corporate clients to ensure we minimise the risk of business failure among our clients, working directly with the Chief Risk Officer.
- Assess the characteristics and underlying risk of company employee bases to develop recommended consumer loan pricing proposals.
- Support the CRO in driving the Enterprise Risk Management strategy and process, holding leadership team members from each functional area accountable for owning and delivering mitigating actions.
- Support the CRO and Head of Decision Science in preparing reporting packs for governance bodies including the Credit Risk Committee, management and various external Boards.
- Conduct analytical modelling for example of product unit economics (e.g. NPV per loan), identifying and monitoring the evolution of key value driving variables/ assumptions.
- Lead bespoke projects for example on operating practice improvements or the potential of Open Banking to enhance our business model.
The Ideal Candidate
- Degree educated in a numerate discipline.
- 2+ years experience working in an analytical role.
- Passionate to deliver social impact with a strong desire to help build a business that delivers a meaningful difference to society.
- A self-starter with a willingness to take responsibility and work independently, working within a fast-paced startup environment.
- Motivated to work in a young, dynamic FinTech company, in a broad risk/ analytical role, often working directly with the CRO/ other senior team members.
- Confident to provide strategic direction at a senior level
- Ability to translate complex analyses into practical and pragmatic recommendations for change to a dynamic business audience.
- Strong written skills and are a great verbal communicator with proven ability and experience of building strong networks.
